CrossFit Montavilla, a neighborhood based gym in Portland, Oregon, was looking for a logo system that represents the clean and modern aesthetic of Portland, while also giving the feeling of health and fitness.  Many gyms are branded with loud bulky logos, however the owners of CrossFit Montavilla desired something more in tune with the culture of the neighborhood.  Keeping their design preferences front and center, this branding system remains both minimal and clear.  The color design incorporates many shades of blue, representing health, fresh air and clean water. Once the main logos were created, merchandise logos were designed with more detail, color and flair.  These merch logos will be used on shirts, stickers, water bottles, and other merchandise, as well as for murals inside the new gym building.
